After a short shuttle ride, your hike begins with a steady ascent to the cool walls of Refrigerator Canyon. Next, climb the famous Walter’s Wiggles switchbacks to Scout's Lookout, and finally take on the thrilling chain section, with steep drop-offs (~1,500'), to reach sweeping views of Zion Canyon below.

- This is a moderately strenuous hike with steep inclines and includes a permit only accessible "chains section" which has 1,500' drop-offs on each side.
- This tour is not for those with medical conditions that could be exacerbated by moderate to strenuous physical activity (including steep up and downhills) or those with a fear of heights.
- January/February tour dates may begin 30-60 minutes later dependent on weather. If park shuttles are not running, the tour will meet at The Grotto trailhead. These details will be confirmed 48 hours prior to the tour.
