The Best Way to Spend One Day in Zion National Park as a First-Time Visitor

Where: Zion Canyon, aka The Main Canyon, is likely the best place to spend your day, especially as a first-time visitor.  Zion Canyon is accessed through the town of Springdale, Utah, via the South Entrance or through the east side, driving the scenic Zion-Mount Carmel Highway (Highway 9).

• Afternoon:  Now that you've done your bucket list hike, time for some general Zion Canyon exploration. You're going to be tired after your morning, so doing shorter hikes and scenic stops in the afternoon is typically best.
